Oh my goodness... I haven't written since Monday, for numerous reasons. That was a bad idea. Not that I've actually had any time to write anything at all. This week has been beyond crazy. It's also been really emotional too, full of all sorts of cRaZiNeSs!
So, Tuesday I started VBS at my church. It was insanely fun. The kids are adorable, and I only know like, less than half of them, so it's been awesome getting to know them all. See, we invited some kids from an elementary school nearby, and so lots of them I've never seen before. Several have really touched my heart, and I don't know what I'm going to do when they leave... because then I won't be seeing them again. Anyway, since Tuesday was my first day, I was a littleee anxious, but it was so fun, and I got to know them quickly :). I'm a part of the singing and skit leaders. So at the beginning and end of the VBS, I get to help lead the kids in singing, and then a group at a time comes and we do skits together. It is crazy fun :) I love doing it. Tuesday's skit was when Jesus calmed the storm. We had the kids make their own rainstorm with their hands. Then, I went out to lunch with some extended family, and then went to my friend Chloe's house and made videos :) I got to see everyone and Summer too, and it was awesome :). I then went to the Belliveaus party for the last hour. We saw horses and petted them. It was very nice ;).
So Wednesday was more VBS. I actually got home that time, but the internet was down. And I stubbed my toe. And I was not happy. But then I went to Leah's, and we dressed up as Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood... and we went to see... HARRY POTTER 6!!!!!!! Oh my gosh... if anyone in my family is reading this, skip down to the next paragraph (they don't want me to spoil it for them). Okay. I went to see it with Leah, Kari, Kelly, and Jenna. Leah was Ginny, Kari was a random muggle on the street, Kelly was Moaning Myrtle, and Jenna was Hermione. I was Luna :). So I, naturally, got the coolest outfit. It was fun seeing people's reactions as we passed them down the street in our billowing robes. I actually was wearing a skirt, mismatching socks, converse shoes, blue shirt, three necklaces, bazillion bracelets, and an awesome hat. So it was cool :). Let me just say, that if you hate Harry Potter, you might not want to read this part, but I can't help myself... I loved it. There were, obviously, things I didn't like about it; for instance, I didn't like how they ended it, and I didn't like that random part at the burrow when they get attacked by death eaters. That was so out of the blue. But other than those, I LOOOOVEEEEDDD IT!!!!!! I seriously can't get over how awesome it was. I'll try to constraine myself. ... I loved the part when he drank Felix Felicis though. That was too good.
I then slept over Leah's. And then it was today.
And today is Thursday. I just got back from VBS. It was really good today! Some of the kids we hadn't been doing the skits actually did them today, and no one really faught too much over the different parts, and it was good :). We got one of those bracelets, where the beads are gold (yellow, actually), black, red, white, and green. Gold for God, Black for sin, Red for the blood of Christ, White for purity (that we get from the blood of Christ) and Green for our growth in Him. Anyway, the kids were really good today, and I got to talk to some of them and hang out with some of them more than usual. :D
Tonight is a BBQ for all the kids and their families. I'm looking forward to it, I'm just afraid of it ;) Doug warns that the helpers may not get a chance to eat, so I'm gonna graba little something before I go ;). So there's so much more on my mind than what I put down here... I was feeling a lot more than just excitement this week... but that's okay. Tomorrow is the last day of VBS, and I think I'm going to sleep all day Saturday... that sounds so good...
Also! PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTENING THIEF IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can check out the teaser trailer here. These are pretty much my favorite books of all time, other than Harry Potter and a few more select few. (The Bible, for example ;). Anyway. You have no idea just how ECSTATIC about this movie coming out. But trust me, you want to read the books first. But really, I have that feeling you get in your chest when you are so excited, it's kind of hard to breathe. I. Love. These. Books. Please. Read. Them. Thanks ;).
