Beach Day '09!

Yesterday was... yes, you guessed it, BEACH DAY!!! WHAT fun! I want to describe it to you, but it went so fast, I don't know how much I'll remember! Like I said. Time flys when you're having fun, and you know it must've been quite the remarkable day to have passed so very quickly ;).

We got up at 6:00 in the morning (Luke and I), and drove on over to church. I was in the BBV with Doug, Lily, Simone, Grace, Kelly, Bethany, Jacob, Leah, and Caitlin. For some portion of the ride, Leah, Caitlin and I sat together and went crazy :). But there was more craziness yet to come. Oh yes. Much more.

We finally arrived at Ocean City after a long, tedious ride that I like to call, "Battle of the Radio Stations". As soon as we got to the beach, we sprang towards the water. "It's freezing!" nearly everyone exclaimed. But that didn't keep us out of the water. Caitlin splashed into the water first, and us girls followed suit :). We were in there for a while, and we kept going back to get a drink of water, but always returned to the waves :). Some were calm, but others completely wiped us out! Around 2:30, the second group (my group) went out for lunch at Subway (yum!) and then got ice cream at Dairy Queen (SUPER yum!). But by the time we got back, nearly the whole beach was deserted, and the wind was definitely picking up. So, we left the beach and trudged on over to Candy Kitchen, where I got a half a pound of runts. I ate them all. With help from Simone and Leah. ;) Then we turned the van around and began the long journey home.

The first hour was rather tiresome. Leah and I were kind of moping around, half-sleeping (nice try at taking pictures, Caitlin!) until we got to Pizza Hut. We were there for quite a while, having several tables to work with at once (eighteen people, you see, plus the others in the restaurant). This was a rather troublesom time for me. I could not find my wallet, no matter how hard I looked. I was terrified, because it did hold a good amount of money. I searched the van and everything. Then, Leah goes out there and comes back 30 seconds later, my wallet in hand. She knows I'm blind. Then, Leah, Simone and I went outside and danced in the rain, and I took a few pictures :). Oh yeah, by then it certainly was raining. It had started to rain at the Candy Kitchen, and was sort of on and off.

After the Hut, Caitlin went and sat next to Leah and I. That is when all hyperness broke loose ;). Caitlin does this thing where she sticks out her tongue and laughs manically, pretending to be Albert Einstein. So her and I were doing that pretty much the whole time. And then Caitlin couldn't find her cell phone, and had to pretend she was breathing in a paper bag to stop herself from hyperventilating. Then she used her pretend paper bag as a telescope to search it out. Then she thought my sweat pants had come from the Harry Potter shop. And well. You know those times, when its so funny, that whenever you even think about it, you can't stop laughing? That was how this was. No doubt about it. It was so hysterically funny, I was almost hyperventilating too. Wow. You'll never be tired with Caitlin sitting next to you, I can tell you that.

Then, we got home. I didn't want that car ride to end, no matter how tired I was. It was too fun :). But it did nonetheless, and I got home and took a nice, calm shower. Though, not too hot. I got sunburnt. Even though I put three layers of sunscreen on my face, and several more on my shoulders. Yet, that's where I got the sunburn. Ridiculous. The sun wasn't even shining that brightly. Grrrr. But my skin is abnormally soft this morning, and that makes me happy :). Anyway, I slept well. Better than the night before, anyway. Tuesday, I watched Rear Window with Jimmy Stewart (awesome actor! Gotta love him) and I was terrified, even though the movie wasn't scary, in itself. I'm just like that ;). It reminded me of Disturbia, and everyone knows how I feel about THAT movie.

So, now it's morning. I woke up at like, 8:30, which is even earlier than normal, and you'd think I'd want to sleep in all day. But I have rehearsal today at 1:30, so I can't very well do that! :). I'm very excited about MSND. Wish me luck :) (not really, that's bad luck in the theater business. "Break a leg" is more appropriate in this circumstance ;)
