Vulnerability.

Life isn't just a box of cookies sometimes. A bowl of cherriers. A room of toys.

Sometimes, it can be a room of emptiness. Utter nothingness. There isn't even a door.

Sometimes, it can be a room of forgotteness. The wall-paper is peeling, the carpet is stained and frayed. The curtains are ripped, the shelves are dusty. And the door is left ajar.

Somtimes, it can be a room of darkness. Of closure. Of seclusion. In which the door is shut tight, where no one can enter, without the proper key.

Where can we get this key? We can only get it from you. But you're already inside the room. And you won't let anyone else come in.

What are we supposed to do then? We want to get inside, but there's no way. The windows are nailed shut. The walls are hard, not allowing anyone to come in. The door is locked.

The only way to enter is to break down that door. To break down the walls that were put up, only to have them crashing down again. The walls of broken-hearts and misery; the walls of animosity and loathing; the walls of fear. The walls that are there as a plea for us to break them down.

So let us. Let us come running in to tear them down. We want them to be destroyed, we want them to come crashing down, just as you do. You just don't know how to let us. And even when you figure that out... you're afraid. You tell yourself you don't want help, you don't want healing. When really, what you don't want is vulnerability.

Broken-hearts. You're really afraid of being cheated, again. You're really afraid of abandonement, again. You're afraid of being broken, again.

Anger. You're really afraid of judgement, again. You're really afraid of giving in, again. You're really afraid of being angry, again.

You're really afraid of fear.

Vulnerability.

Don't be so afraid.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
(NKJV)

1 Chronicles 28:20

(NIV)

(NIV)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
(NIV)

For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

(NIV)

2 Corinthians 4:7-11
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body.
(NIV)

Philippians 1:12-14
Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.
(NIV)

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
(NLT)

Hebrews 13:5-6
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
(NKJV)

1 Peter 3:13-14
Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened."
(NIV)

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

(NIV)

(NIV)

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
(NIV)

Romans 8:35
Rom. 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
(NIV)

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
(?)

Trust me when I say there is absolutely no reason to be afraid. No reason to fear. Especially your vulnerability. Because although bad things may happen to you; although you might end up getting hurt; remember that it is all temporary. It is all so futile. Because "If God is for us, who can be against us?"

And you can take comfort in knowing that your freinds; the ones God has placed in your life as blessings from heaven; would never ever break down those walls without a reason.

So trust. We want to help. That's all we want. Please let us.
