Now, I will be posting yet another story of my wonderful, blessed life, beginning with yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday, I hung out with Chloe, Kay, Andy, Aaron, and Lonny. Oh, and Noah and Jackson :). We all made videos and did totally wacky stuff and just hung out. It was a blast, and we hardly even did anything to make it that way. All we did was hang out, and that's what made is so awesome :). That night, I spent the rest of the evening with Kay and Chloe, and although we weren't jumping up and down on the bed and bouncing off the walls, we sure were hyper. We took out Kay's iTouch and just went nuts with it, playing with the silliest applications. Before this, we watched Star Trek (third time I've seen it this week) and I'm glad, because Kay seemed to enjoy it :). Chloe, on the other hand, seemed set on texting her grandma when the movie became too tedious or boring. Just kiddingggg, of course. ;) I think she liked the movie too. Anyway, it ended up being a really fun night, and when we weren't being silly, we were talking about our lives and more thoughtful things than you'd expect to hear at a teenage sleepover.
So, pretty much the people I know are awesome. And pretty much, I've realized the reason that they are in my life is because God has blessed me, and wishes the best for me. And He wants me to realize just how much I am blessed.
Not only are the friends I have awesome to be around, they are also encouraging to be around. It seems that when we aren't goofing off, we're trying our best to uplift each other. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)
As usual, I've had another wake-up call, though this one not as distinct. I believe that no matter how life is; no matter how many sufferings, or trials you are destined to go through; no matter how many terrible and horrible things seem to wrench apart your life; if God is in your life, and you have a relationship with Him, you are eternally blessed. Sure, everything may not seem so great at the moment; but eternal life is what signifies value. Soon, this will be over. God is pleased with those who persevere and have faith in Him, no matter what the situation. I know this doesn't sound so tough, coming from me, since my life hasn't been one of trouble and turmoil as of yet. But I have faith in faith. I have faith that my faith in God will never stumble or stagger, even in the darkest of times (all thanks to God, of course). And I always remember that in the darkest of times, God is the unfaltering light. When your life feels like its spinning out of control, know this; God is spinning it into control. And He knows exactly what He's doing, even if you don't.
The Lord is so indescribably good, isn't He?
Anyway, I don't know what it was about yesterday that seemed to click this idea into my mind. One word from the mouth of one of my friends could have been God-breathed, and could have been the tipping point for the inspiration for this post.
God is all-good, all-powerful, and all-knowing. Acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
